Principal

Courtenay has been dancing since she was 3 years old, starting with ballet and then branching out to modern, tap, street, lyrical and commercial classes as well.

She passed all of her ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap and Modern with excellent grades and went on to pass her DDE examinations in all three genres with flying colours. She has since entered hundreds of students for their ISTD examinations, many of her pupils gaining distinctions!

As well as teaching ISTD classes, Courtenay has also completed the Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Aerial and Back Handspring and Contortion teacher training courses and is the only qualified teacher in the area!

‘I have always dreamed of owning my own dance school since I was a little girl and Dance Expression Studios, named after my biggest fan, my Grandad Des, is just that. A dream come true’.

FARRAH FIELD

Farrah started dancing at the age of 5 and over the years she took all of her ISTD and BATD exams. Farrah was later offered a place at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy. While at the Italia Conti Academy she got to experience being part of 'Move It' as well as assisting teachers for various auditions. Farrah is now working hard towards gaining her ISTD teacher qualifications. She is very excited to be joining the DES team and teaching our new Jazz Combo classes!
